scenes from an office window

i’ve been blessed with a window office at work. we’re up on the 12th floor, and my view is facing NNE looking at east cambridge.

scene 1: weather
there have been some great clouds passing by the past couple days. today they were accompanied by bands of snow flurries. the light snow was being blown around by the wind patterns near the building, so the snow was dancing around, flying up and sideways along with the traditional down.

scene 2: wildlife
in the foreground there’s a parking lot and small grassy area with a day-care play area. seeing the frenetic patterns of kids run around from above is quite a site. there’s also a wild turkey that frequents the lot (usually trying to fight for superiority over its reflection in an automobile).

scene 3: people
a little further away is an empty lot. today there were three people doing some sort of a photo shoot of a gun duel. camera on a tripod, actors standing a few feet apart, many takes with one of the actors falling backwards after having been shot.
