Crash
Well, I guess perhaps I should have purchased a new computer instead of recently adding components to my six year old machine. The other night the original hard disk failed and the operating system is partially corrupted. Fortunately I was able to get it limping along (the registry is corrupt such that it doesn’t recognize previous users and can’t run any but the most basic Microsoft applications) and copy all my data files to either an external drive or the recently purchased internal drive. Time to shop for a computer. The Dell site is just too annoying. The HP site is much more pleasant, and seems to have a better option within my configuration/price goal, so I’ll probably go with them.
