wildlife in the city
There are a couple red-tailed hawks that live near our office. On nice days, you can see them making lazy circles on the thermals. On rare occasions, they land by someone’s window (usually without crashing into the window). Recently, they seem to like the late-afternoon view from the 19th and 20th floor of a new (currently unoccupied) apartment building, alighting on the glass and metal architectural detailing. What a treat for future occupants if the hawks still visit once people move in.
